Memorial Biography

Nothing but blue skies....from now on

I've only known Andy since December 2003 when Robin and I met him at an RV rally in Plymouth, CA. He had recently lost his wife at the time but he seemed to be coping well. We immediately took to his fun-loving attitude and great sense of humor. He was known as wxman1 on the RV.NET forums. Few knew that WX is the abbreviation for "weather" but once explained, Andy was fondly known as The Weather Man. He attended many other rallies over the next several years including annual winter trips to Quartzsite AZ. Andy made many friends along the way.

Andy served in the U S Air Force in his early days as a meteorologist and later began his long-time career with the National Weather Service as a forecaster. After many years he called it quits and retired on March 28th, 2011, only 20 months ago. He did exactly as he planned. He sold his home, bought a diesel pusher and began travelling the country following the preferable weather and visiting friends and family as far away as Florida. Andy loved to travel and visit. Sadly it was short-lived, but he was certainly fulfilling his retirement dream.

We'll miss you Andy. Rest peacefully my friend.

Randy
